Richardhas an engineering technology background and is described as an extremelyskilled and knowledgeable 3DLS (3D Laser Scanning) specialist. He originallyfollowed in his father's footsteps by studying Civil Engineering, but gotattracted to Directional Drilling, which led him to travel the world withcutting edge Directional Drilling Technology through the 90's. After enjoyingthe challenges of driling he returned back to school to Complete CivilEngineering Technology but it was oversubscribed so chose study GeomaticsEngineering Technologies, where he found his passion for PointClouds.
Richard is making it his personal missionto show how easy it is to use PointClouds and that everyone from Welders andNASA Scientists can benefit from using the "Greatest of All Technology(GOAT)." He enjoys giving people the insight to Point Clouds which are anessential part of the new industry including VDC "Virtual Design andConstruction" and BIM platforms.
Richard is a 3D specialist with UnderhillGeomatics, and on the Education Committee of the U.S. Institute of BuildingDocumentation as Vice Chair.
