Biographie

Justin currently advises startups in the industrial tech space through product and strategy at his firm, Almansor Group. He was previously the Chief Commercial Officer for an autonomous robotics startup from NASA / JPL and Defense. He helped lead customer efforts in building use cases, fundraising, and robotic deployments on over 30+ locations around the world.

Previously, he was the Head of Construction Technology at Stanley Black & Decker where he launched their first construction tech software and led their first acquisition in this area. Prior to SBD, He was also a product lead at Uber Freight and had started a company with drone technology for logistics and supply chain. He holds an MBA and MS Engineering degree from Northwestern University.

Kevin Albert

CEO - Canvas

Kevin Albert is the CEO and co-founder of Canvas, a construction robotics company that is empowering people to build in bold new ways. Canvas has created a new class of robotic tool for the construction workforce. By moving construction’s means and methods into the digital, Canvas is addressing the systemic challenges around productivity and labor shortages to create a more sustainable future for building. Kevin has more than 20 years of experience in the development of rugged robotic systems, including fundamental contributions to some of Boston Dynamics’ seminal works, Big Dog and LS3. After his time at Boston Dynamics, Kevin started the robotics research group at Otherlab focused on bringing robotics and automation out of the factory and into the hands of workers. He has run numerous robotics research programs, including collaborations with Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), and commercial aerospace partners to develop robots designed for deployment. Kevin is a graduate of Lehigh University and has a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT.

Gary Chen

CEO - Raise Robotics

Gary is the co-founder and CEO of Raise Robotics, a startup based in San Francisco developing robots for construction automation. Raise Robotics' current product is a dual arm mobile manipulator for automating fastener installations on construction sites, using advanced vision and control technologies to safely and consistently complete its tasks.

Gary brings years of experience in developing automation for outdoor environments and commercializing deep tech. Prior to Raise, he led research projects on 3D perception and vehicle simulation. He was also a founding engineer at two early stage startups bringing research from UC Berkeley to market.
