Ms. Llanos has over 20 years of experience at Diamond Schmitt Architects and was made principal in 2017. She heads the Vancouver studio and is a LEED accredited professional with a diverse range of project experience focused on western Canada, including institutional, health care facilities, performing arts, residential, commercial, restoration and academic projects. She delivers excellence in both the design and execution of projects large and small and possesses rigorous project management skills with a proven track record of delivering world-class, complex projects on time and on budget. Ana Maria was the Project Architect for the recently completed campus redevelopment for Emily Carr University of Art + Design. The new Campus is a landmark for the City of Vancouver as well as a state-of-the-art 300,000-square-foot facility for approximately 3,800 students, faculty and staff. The building is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification and was delivered using a public/private/partnership to design, build, finance and maintain the facility. Other projects include the Chemical and Biological Engineering Facility at the University of British Columbia and the Project Manager for the Banff Centre Campus Redevelopment in Banff, Alberta. This project comprises the Sally Borden Building, the Kinnear Centre for Creativity and Innovation, new infrastructure upgrade and landscape master plan implementation.
