The Lion's Gate Hospital Power Plant Replacement was the first job we've encountered that had a contractual BIM requirement. The two main challenges of the job were the retrofit of the existing building, and the complexity of the new power plant. We will be exploring the lessons learned from this job, and some of the innovative technologies we've used to meet project goals.

Le Hien is a graduate of the University of Victoria with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Over the past 9 years, Le Hien has provided leadership in the development of Division 15’s BIM standards and procedures. She collaborates with general contractors, subtrades, and office/site personnel to ensure the smooth execution of BIM within projects. She develops 3D models, and uses the model for clash detection and creation of bill of Materials and fabrication drawings. In 2017, Le Hien became one of the first 30 individuals nationwide to receive CanBIM Certified Professional designation.
Since starting with Division 15, she has successfully attained the designation of LEED® Green Associate and as such has the knowledge and understanding of Green Building practices and principles needed to support the use of the LEED® Green Building Rating System.

Harry gained his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1994, and had been working as a Mechanical Engineer for many municipal and institutional projects in China before immigrating to Canada in 2003. He successfully transferred his skills and knowledge and over the last decade has made significant progress in his professional career, especially in the field of BIM and Sustainable Design.
For the last four years, Harry has worked with Division 15 Mechanical preparing mechanical 3D models for coordination, clash detection, buildability evaluation, prefabrication and installation.
