Summary

Résumé de la présentation

Provide a general overview of the project at the hosting site, 130 Dundas St. — a redeveloped property taken from a former dept. store to Fanshawe's new home for Travel & Tourism and Information Technology programs. Briefly outline EllisDon's role in the project as Construction Manager and provide an overview of the project team and buildings statistics. Highlight the use of 3D scanning and Building Information Modeling to design temporary shoring for adjacent buildings (coordinated with the new steel structure) and coordinate the design of culinary floors with heavy M&E servicing. The presentation will focus on utilizing BIM technology for specific aspects of a project rather than full-blown adoption of the technology project-wide. While many project teams push for complete building models to deliver true value, even the focused use of these technologies where complex conditions exist can be highly beneficial to a project.
