Biographie

Helen Goodland is an architect registered in the UK and has an MBA from the University of BC. She brings over 30 years of experience working on transformative solutions for the real estate and construction industries in Canada and around the world. She is also a compelling public speaker, facilitator and educator. Helen is firmly committed to achieving truly sustainable buildings within the next decade. She is also passionate about advancing leadership opportunities for women in construction technology. To this end, she participates on numerous boards and committees. Currently she serves on the National Zero Waste Council’s construction taskforce and has been the chair of the UN Sustainable Buildings Initiative’s Materials Technical Committee. Helen is one of the BC Sustainable Energy Association’s climate action heroes and has been nominated as a YWCA Woman of Distinction. In 2017, she received the Vancouver Regional Construction Association's Outstanding Woman in Construction Award.

Arash Shahi is a distinguished innovator and serial entrepreneur with significant achievements in the architectural, engineering, construction (AEC), real estate and academic sectors. He holds a PhD in construction engineering and management technologies and is a past recipient of the Top 40 Under 40 in Canadian Construction.   Arash is the Chief Executive Officer of LandLogic, the AI-powered data platform that unlocks land insights to enable efficient, informed decisions. By aggregating and unifying data from diverse sources into a queryable database, LandLogic creates the foundation for an urban digital twin. LandLogic also powers the One Ontario solution which improves data exchange by connecting disparate systems and simplifying the complicated development approvals process. He is also the Co-founder and CEO of AECO Innovation Lab which, in partnership with the First Nations National Building Officers Association, introduced the groundbreaking Platform for Remote Construction Reviews. The platform uses 3D reality capture tools to scan construction sites in First Nation communities, making comprehensive construction reviews accessible and cost-effective.

I am passionate about taking initiatives and take the business forward. Have a very strong analytical and problem-solving ability which enabled me to provide various solutions to projects and business unit to improve their internal processes, most exemplified in the current role I have. Career highlights include leading the Projects Division, Implementation of several practices in a company, Project claims. At PermitFlow, I am managing the the biggest enterprise accounts for PermitFlow with Customer satisfaction being the top driver. I am working directly with firms like McDonald's, Toll Brothers, Anthony and Sylvan Pools, Premier Pools and Spa, Ram Jack.
