August Nazareth is a circular economist and seasoned expert with over 10 years of experience in the built environment/AECO sector across the U.S. and UK. Passionate about the circular economy, Nazareth serves as the Global Director of Built Environment, Americas at BSI Group in New York City. Nazareth has honed her expertise in accelerating the circular economy by driving digitally transformative practices like AI, ML, digital twins, BIM, BIM2FM, IoT, AI mapped to stakeholder initiatives, their existing process and inter-generational skillsets for better outcomes. She is dedicated to fostering net-zero buildings, resilient infrastructure, and smart cities, including pre-fabrication, modularity, design for disassembly, and offsite construction to reduce the industry's environmental impact, and the future where circular design for building products, data transparency, and re-use of materials becomes the norm. To generate a circular economy, we need a systems approach in the built environment including modern methods of construction, digitalization and data – it all hinges on accuracy of the data, meta-data and how fast we can access it. https://www.nibs.org/events/circular-economy-pathway-net-zero Collaborating with organizations internally and externally, Nazareth helps shape industry standards, data availability, and champions positive change.
