Helen Goodland is an architect registered in the UK and has an MBA from the University of BC. She brings over 30 years of experience working on transformative solutions for the real estate and construction industries in Canada and around the world. She is also a compelling public speaker, facilitator and educator. Helen is firmly committed to achieving truly sustainable buildings within the next decade. She is also passionate about advancing leadership opportunities for women in construction technology. To this end, she participates on numerous boards and committees. Currently she serves on the National Zero Waste Council’s construction taskforce and has been the chair of the UN Sustainable Buildings Initiative’s Materials Technical Committee. Helen is one of the BC Sustainable Energy Association’s climate action heroes and has been nominated as a YWCA Woman of Distinction. In 2017, she received the Vancouver Regional Construction Association's Outstanding Woman in Construction Award.

Mark has spent over a decade in government and politics and has been a featured speaker on the future of smart cities and analytics at the White House, World Bank, State Department, and Harvard Smart Cities Accelerator. Mark serves as a director to humanitarian and environmental non-profits and was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal.
Mike Maierle is the Founder and Principal of ETRO Construction; a general contracting and construction management company out of Burnaby, BC that’s founded on the commitment to doing things differently and putting people first - always. Getting his start as a Project Manager at LEDCOR, Mike was mentored by some of the finest in the construction industry and given the opportunity to lead the pre-construction and construction on several international large-scale, landmark projects totaling upwards of $900 Million. After nearly 15 years at LEDCOR, and in pursuit of a massive dream, Mike left his very promising career to found ETRO.
Dogu Taskiran is the CEO of Stambol Studios, a Vancouver-based creative technology studio specializing in highly immersive content and experiences through Virtual and Augmented Reality. Dogu is an Expert Software Engineer and a team leader with nearly 20 years of experience in high-performance interactive software applications. He started his career building various educational training applications and simulation systems in the defense industry. Following his passion for video games, he later moved to work on several award-winning AAA titles as a Lead Gameplay Programmer at Electronic Arts, and as the Studio Tech Lead and Expert Engine Programmer at Ubisoft.
