Cory Houle

Business Development Manager - Pinnacle Infotech

With a variety of corporate sales experience, starting in the consumer packaged goods industry, my key focus has been offering superior client support since 2004 regardless of the industry I serve. In 2016, I joined the construction industry as an account manager for Hilti Canada, managing structural construction GC's and subs in the downtown and West Ottawa territory. In this role, I learned the impact of technology and premium products in the industry and learned how understanding the needs of a client can help to tailor the right products and services to them to drive efficient project execution. In 2018, I joined the heavy civil construction industry as marketer and business development manager at LW Bray Construction, expanding on my civil construction knowledge. Being new to Pinnacle Infotech, I am enjoying learning this technology and seeing first hand the impact on savings via value engineering, constructibility reviews and clash detection along with true collaboration with clients and their projects. I look forward to continuing to expand BIM engineering in the Canadian market.

Sonya Puri

BIM/VDC Specialist - Multiplex

Sonya Puri is a BIM/VDC Specialist at Multiplex Construction Canada with a BIM Management Postgrad Certification and a Bachelor of Architecture Degree. She also has a certification in Innovation Strategy from ECornell that has resulted in her exploration in most of the BIM Dimensions. Her role allows her to create 4D simulations, 5D cost analysis, 6D embodied carbon calculations of the projects across her company’s portfolio and creating 8D models for her safety and site team to aid in visualization. Sonya’s interest in the visual aspect also helped create the company’s first BIM KPI dashboard and She helps her team with creating BIM Execution Plans that help layout 3D model standards and expectations.

Sonya is currently working on a 44-storey tower in Toronto and enjoys bringing the 3D model to life on site. She’s eager to create what everyone cannot imagine. This passion stemmed from her time at George Brown College where she collaborated with the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA) on a 2 - Phase applied research project. Her team had laser scanned all of Terminal 1 and 3, creating a 3D model and library that would be used for facilities management.
