Biographie

Krigh Bachmann is the Leader of Digital Innovation for the international design and engineering practice DIALOG. Focused on the research and implementation of emerging technologies in the AECO industry, his focus is on ensuring his practice stays on the leading edge. Some of his most recent focus include incorporating contract language for digital delivery, data for asset management, smart buildings, and digital twins into the design process. He also works closely with clients authoring, reviewing, and delivering against their digital information requirements using ISO 19650 as a framework. 

Krigh is also an active member of the AEC community. He enjoys sharing his experience and knowledge with others and has previously presented at Autodesk University, BiLT NA, Building Transformations, and tBIMc. He is always looking for ways to keep the industry moving forward drawing on his international experience. Before returning to Canada, he worked for 8 years in the UK, where he was the EMEA Digital Design Leader for Gensler and BIM Manager for Pollard Thomas Edwards implementing BIM Level 2. Always on the lookout for the latest tech, Krigh has a keen interest in leveraging new and innovative technologies to improve both the designs his team produces and the method by which they are created.

Amr Saad

BIM Implementation Consultant - Industry Expert

Amr Saad is a Digital Engineering expert who enabled digital transformation, delivery in multiple firms on mega projects. By harnessing the BIM process, Big Data analytics and Artificial intelligence AI, Amr provides insights to decision-makers in the early stages to ensure delivery is aligned with organisational requirements within time and budget constraints and serves the end-users.

Amr has a record of accomplishment in transforming international firms from the traditional approaches to BIM-Data-driven process, enhancing the awareness about digital transformation through conducting workshops, presentations, and training programs to a broad spectrum of audiences."

International bodies appreciate Amr's experience; the Royal Institute of chartered surveyors (RICS) recognised him as a Chartered BIM manager. Additionally, awarded the Expert Elite rank by Autodesk and Project Information Manager / Task Information Manager by the BRE.

With a robust BIM Management skillset, Amr delivers a strategic implementation of digital engineering, information management and digital asset management. Amr had extensive exposure to different delivery phases. His contribution empowers program managers, project managers, designers, planner, construction teams and facility managers to avoid future conflicts, delays, and claims through project information management.

Rahul Shah

Sector Development Director, EMEA Built Environment - BSI Group Inc.

Rahul Shah has worked for and with asset owners, main contractors, architects, engineers and manufacturers. With over 23 years of experience, he has held leadership roles responsible for driving digital transformation, innovation, and leading on BIM strategy and implementation programmes globally. During his career Rahul has gained experience of implementing various digital initiatives on a diverse range of projects, including large scale multi-billion-pound urban regeneration schemes through to hospitals, airports, residential, commercial, data centres, mixed-use public spaces, stadiums and metros. He has gained thorough understanding of the risks and opportunities faced by today’s global construction businesses while going through digitalization.

Rahul joined BSI as Sector Development Director, EMEA Built Environment in April 2020 supporting key clients in Digital Transformation, Innovation, BIM, Digital Twin, Smart Cities, IoT, and Information Security.

Paul Shillcock

Managing Director - Operam

Paul is a leading authority on business processes that facilitate the effective management of information throughout the asset lifecycle and support the adoption of building information modelling (BIM).

Through Operam, Paul uses his knowledge and experience to provide strategic advisory services to governments, organisations, and major projects worldwide – helping them to align their business processes with the latest industry standards and best practice.

Through Operam Academy, Paul develops innovative learning resources aimed at helping teams to build the capability and capacity they need to manage information effectively.

Paul continues to play a prominent role in various industry and government-led initiatives around the world and the development of national and international standards. Notably, Paul is the author of ISO 19650-2 (the global standard for BIM) and the UK National Annex and a co-author of PAS 1192-2 (the framework standard for BIM Level 2 in the UK) and PD 19650 (Transition Guidance from PAS 1192-2 to ISO 19650-2).

David Watson

Director of Technical Sales - NBS

David operated Digicon Information Inc in the construction specifications industry for 21 years before it was acquired by NBS in 2017. Originally became interested in BIM technology as a means of integrating drawings with specifications.

Worked in the ISO TC59/SC13 committee as a Canadian representative for 20 years, and served as chairman for 15 of those years. Contributed to all of the ISO 19650 series (-1, -2, -3, and currently on -4, -5), as well as a variety of other BIM standards for terminology and product data.

Currently serving as director for buildingSMART Canada, and recently led a working group to prepare a Canadian Annex to ISO 19650-2, which is out for review.
