As our Mechanical Designer you:
- Prepare detailed construction layout drawings as required, based on engineering design drawings, project specifications, verbal instructions, rough notes, and rough sketches.
- Develop Installation and fabrication drawings for a wide range of mechanical systems such as piping, plumbing, sheet metal, hangers, sleeving, etc.
- Interact with the project team to develop construction layouts efficiently and accurately while maintaining any time and schedule constraints.
- Follow and enforce all ECS departmental procedures for drawing development and work with the Project Team Leader to check in all developed drawings as per the document control requirements and complies with quality control procedures.
Our ideal candidate has:
- Advanced knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD and AutoCAD MEP.
- Ability to develop and coordinate 3D construction models is a must.
- Must be a team player with advanced technical and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple projects within a fast paced environment.
- Highly developed understanding of mechanical construction, installation methods, technologies, planning & management and commissioning process, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the applicable codes and standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, CSA, NRC/CNRC etc.
