As a member of our Industrial team, you will provide insight and innovative construction solutions to ensure the successful execution of various projects, such as: Large scale industrial projects; plant and facilities; pump and compressor stations; power generation; mechanical, piping, civil, foundations, electrical and structural projects.

About The Role

The VDC Coordinator reports directly to the Virtual Construction Specialist and will have an in-depth knowledge of construction projects.

As a VDC Coordinator at Graham you will:

• Perform various pre-construction duties related to project VDC/BIM deployment as required.
• Complete earthwork model quantification for estimates
• Assist with 3D proposal documentation and 4D modeling animation
• Experience with Autocad Dynamo
• Participate in the estimate process for Industrial Projects
• Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under tight deadline situations is very important to this position.
• Understanding of the bidding process and work with estimators.
• Understanding of layout surveys and providing and comparing as-builts.
• Following direction and procedures to complete unique tasks.
• Reading various detailed design drawings issued for construction and performing all necessary quantifications and take offs.
• Downloading and processing survey data using the appropriate software.
• Troubleshooting their own and others work.
• To understand various survey related software including Trimble Business Centre and AutoCAD is an asset.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience is surveying, civil construction, mining operations and engineering, or related field is an asset
• Technical diploma or certificate in Civil Engineering or Geomatics is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered
• Proven proficiency with Trimble software and AutoCAD
• Ability to take on change and overcome hurdles in stride.
• Ability to understand and accurately communicate detailed survey and model principles to clients and staff.
• Proficient in GNSS/GPS RTK surveying techniques
• Must establish and maintain good working relationships with clients.
