You As The VDC Manager Will

• Work with VDC staff in development, implementation, support, and maintenance of project specific LOD, BIM requirements and deliverables.
• Develop and improve project documentation, such as the project BIM Execution Plan, LOD, and Contracts.
• Coordinate and set up of processes for BIM life cycle development and functionality (3D, 4D, 5D, 6D).
• Manage model maturity to facilitate quantity takeoffs for progressive cost estimating and project control.
• Facilitate consultant and trades through multiple project phases with virtual design and construction process.
• Manage information exchange protocol between the company, subcontractors and third-party modeling consultants and trades
• Liaise with Construction Operation teams to drive decisions and implement hardware and infrastructure requirements to support a collaborative approach to work sharing, utilizing teams in different geographic areas under different project delivery styles.
• Collaborate in the implementation of improvements program, including setting BIM plan goals, management plan, protocols and standards of corporate VDC
• Set up VDC process on each job (job specific) adapt to each jobs limitations and find ways to implement VDC to assist in both design and construction
  

Is this the right role for you?

• You have a degree in Construction science and management, Civil Engineer, Civil Engineering Technologist or Building Information Modelling Management (Post Grad) or an equivalent
• You have expert knowledge of, and proven practical background in GIS and VDC/BIM related software configuration and Deployment, (Autodesk BIM360, Bentley ProjectWise, Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Navisworks, Synchro, etc.)
• You have strong project management skills with the demonstrated ability to multi-task along with the flexibility and openness to work amidst changing priorities and compressed timelines.
• You have a strong understanding of integrated project workflows and basic project management & controls.
• You have the ability to adapt in dynamic environments and with multiple projects and teams
• You have strong team leadership, staffing and resource management skills
