7th Annual CanBIM Innovation Spotlight Awards - Winners Announced
Toronto (October 28, 2021) – CanBIM Announced the Winners for the 2021 Innovation Spotlight Awards yesterday as part of its second virtual awards presentation.
CanBIM multi-casted the awards presentation on all its social channels as a live global broadcast. The 2021 Award was designed and fabricated by HOK Canada and York University. Using digital design and fabrication methods, the team presented a short video outlining the process and inspiration for the 2021 award. Special thanks to the entire HOK Canada and York University team for the winning design.
Top honours for the night went to AECOM for their submission of the Gordie Howe International Bridge; winning three awards in total; the Design & Engineering Award, Global Envoy Award and Best In Innovation Award. The Gordie Howe International Bridge project consists of 4 major infrastructure components: A 6 lane 2.5km bridge, 2 ports of entry across 297 acres with 42,756m2 of buildings, and the 1-75 interchange with 3km of road. Once complete, the bridge will be the longest cable stay bridge in the Americas.
CanBIM recognized industry leaders in the following ten (10) award categories: Academic Award, Research Award, Entrepreneurship & Startups Award, Digital Products, Digital Supply Chain & Fabrication, Construction Management, Digitalization Strategy, Global Envoy Award, Project Delivery, Asset Management & Lifecycle Award and Design & Engineering. Top honours were presented to the Best In Innovation Award Winner, which is selected from the winners of each award category. CanBIM also recognized its Volunteer of the year with the Industry Trailblazer Award.

7e édition annuelle des prix CanBIM Innovation Spotlight - Annonce des gagnants
Toronto (28 octobre 2021) – CanBIM a annoncé hier les gagnants des prix Innovation Spotlight de 2021 dans le cadre de sa toute deuxième remise de prix virtuelle.
CanBIM a multidiffusé la présentation des prix sur YouTube Premiere et d'autres sites sociaux sous forme de diffusion mondiale en direct. Le prix 2021 a été conçu et fabriqué par HOK Canada et l'Université York. À l'aide de méthodes de conception et de fabrication numériques, l'équipe a présenté une courte vidéo décrivant le processus et l'inspiration pour le prix 2021. Un merci spécial à toute l'équipe de HOK Canada et de l'Université York pour le design gagnant.
Les grands honneurs de la soirée sont allés à AECOM pour sa soumission Pont international Gordie Howe. – remporter trois prix au total ; le Design & Engineering Award, le Global Envoy Award et le Best In Innovation Award. Le projet du pont international Gordie Howe comprend 4 composantes d'infrastructure majeures : un pont à 6 voies de 2,5 km, 2 ports d'entrée sur 297 acres avec 42 756 m2 de bâtiments et l'échangeur 1-75 avec 3 km de route. Une fois terminé, le pont sera le plus long pont à haubans des Amériques.
CanBIM a reconnu les leaders de l'industrie dans les dix (10) catégories de prix suivantes : prix académique, prix de la recherche, prix de l'entrepreneuriat et des startups, produits numériques, chaîne d'approvisionnement et fabrication numériques, gestion de la construction, stratégie de numérisation, prix Global Envoy, livraison de projet, gestion des actifs et Prix du cycle de vie et conception et ingénierie. Les grands honneurs ont été décernés au gagnant du prix Best In Innovation, qui est sélectionné parmi les gagnants de chaque catégorie de prix. CanBIM a également reconnu son bénévole de l'année avec le prix Industry Trailblazer Award.
