BIM has helped facilitate embodied carbon assessments by establishing bills of quantities and materials. BIM based Life Cycle Assessment tools have emerged. However, the focus has been on Structural and Architectural design, leaving MEP aside. This submission describes how we assess embodied carbon in MEP design using BIM models.
