Boulevard Circulaire in Paris-La Defense, France was a project whereby the existing quasi motorway was transformed into an urban boulevard; an innovative portion of the roadway infrastructure; while improving the overall user experience. From conception to design and culminating with construction, Colas utilized BIM (Building Information Modeling) and CIM (Civil or City Information Modeling) processes for the installation of Flowell; dynamic lights (LED) slabs encapsulated in the roadway surface creating a dynamically illuminated and signalized roadway intersection.
