This Masters’ research aimed at understanding the influence of contractual language, legal aspects and trust on BIM-enabled projects. Data from in-depth literature review was coupled with industry interviews and analyzed through a coding system. The results indicate that current standardized contracts in Canada are incomplete and ill-adapted to support effective BIM implementation.
