The evolution in 3D data collection and modeling allows for new research of architectural archaeology. The combination of data captured via terrestrial laser scans and multi-image analysis, combined with traditional "boots-on-the-ground" research methodologies, restores the memorialized identities embedded within cultural heritage and can serve a greater purpose; to sustainably restore local tourism, stimulate local economy and reinforce local ecology for today‘s communities.
